Student Ministry Coordinator
The Student Ministry Coordinator (SMC) is a member of the pastoral staff in the Newman Catholic Community at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Newman serves as both the Catholic Campus Ministry for UNC-CH, and is a full parish in the Diocese of Raleigh. The primary ministry of the Student Ministry Coordinator is to the undergraduate community on the campus of the University. Hired by the Roman Catholic Diocese of Raleigh (via Newman) and accountable to the Associate Campus Minister and the Pastor, this position is a permanent, full-time, year-long appointment beginning in the summer (preferably June, but start time is negotiable). While there are some specified responsibilities, there is ample room for creativity and innovation within the ministry. A complete job description can be found in the attached PDF document.
