If you are looking for a way to connect more deeply with members of the Newman community, consider joining a small faith group. There are groups that meet throughout the week - in person and by Zoom - to reflect on scripture and spiritual reading. All welcome new members!

• Gospel readings for each day are available online at the US Conference of Catholic Bishop’s webpage: bible.usccb.org. On the site you can listen to a podcast of the readings and sign up to have them emailed to you.
• Give Us This Day is a website, app and monthly subscription publication of morning and evening daily prayer, readings and prayers for daily and Sunday Mass, reflections on the lives of the saints, and black and white artwork. Visit giveusthisday.org for subscription information.
• Magnificat also provides print, app and web-based resources for daily personal and liturgical prayer. Visit us.magnificat.net for subscription information.
• iBreviary, available online at ibreviary.com and as an app offers the full texts of the Church's Liturgy of the Hours and daily Scriptures. A similar resource is also available at universalis.com.
• The website and app Sacred Space offers brief times of prayer and reflection tied to each day’s readings.
• The Word Among Us is an online, print and app of Catholic daily devotions featuring meditations, inspirational essays and stories of the saints. 

• At Home with the Word is published annually by Liturgy Training Publications (ltp.org). It provides the Sunday readings for each liturgical year, along with reflections by Scripture scholars, and suggestions for reflection and action for small faith groups and families.
• While Loyola Press focuses on resources for religious education programs, it has a Sunday Connection available online and as a weekly email. Loyola Press also has a series of brief videos titled Arts and Faith: Lent that reflect on the season through the lens of sacred art.
• Paulist Press (paulistpress.com) publishes a wide range of books “at the intersection of faith and culture,” including its Paulist Bible Study Program.
• ReNew International, (renewintl.org) publishes many Scripture, lectionary-based and practical resources for parish small faith groups; some are free and some are books available for purchase. Browse their website for books devoted to each gospel, to faith-sharing reflections on the Sunday Gospels for each liturgical year, and practical guides on Essentials for Small-Group Leaders and Leading Prayer in Small Groups.
• Finding God in Ordinary Time, by Christine Eberle, Greenplace Books, 2018 and Finding God Abiding, by Christine Eberle, Woodhall Press, 2022 are collections of simple, accessible daily meditations on familiar experiences each organized in four themes. There are suggestions for personal reflection and small group sharing. Christine recently retired from campus ministery to devote herself to writing, speaking and facilitating retreats. Both books can be purchased on Amazon or on Bookshop.org.

The Gospel of Luke will be preached each Sunday from Pentecost to the end of the liturgical year. Take a deeper dive into Luke with An Introduction to the Gospel of Luke, a series of six recordings by Fr. Walter Modrys SJ.

The series lays a foundation for how Catholics read the Bible, explores the structure and special features of Luke's gospel, and reflects on praying with Luke.
